WILLIAM RAST FW '10

I have seen many beautiful collections for fall/winter so far, but lately I've been more interested in new takes on wearable, comfortable, everyday pieces. I have always thought Justin Timberlake was well-dressed, but as a designer? I was skeptical. It's actually the first William Rast collection I've ever seen, so I have nothing to compare it to. I quickly browsed their online shop and was not very impressed. But this runway collection, I'm in love with.

It is a clever mix of tribal rock-n-roll chic. On point with the trends, especially for the downtown folks. I like the nomadic aesthetic. There's a great deal of dark colors with the perfect splash of warm hues. I love the long over coats paired with minis and skinnies and the shaggy black collars on the cargo and denim jackets. All the pieces, men's and womens, are intricate and cohesive.

It's almost like Justin Timberlake and his team decided to take timeless pieces and deconstruct and rebuild them by mixing and matching them back together. There's a great sweatshirt with leather sleeves, I believe, and a denim jacket with leather sleeves. Also, I totally see Jessica Biel as a muse because I could really picture her on any given day wearing any piece from the women's collection especially the short jackets and cargo pants. Overall, the William Rast FW'10 Collection consists of super wearable must-have outerwear and bottoms.

And to whoever styled the models....BRAVO!
